About Brooke

Brooke joined Holman Webb’s Brisbane Insurance Group as Special Counsel in 2021, bringing with her over 15 years of high-level experience across a range of areas including general insurance, workers’ compensation, product and public liability and professional indemnity.

Brooke works closely with new clients to ensure her own detailed understanding of their businesses – drawing in data surrounding commercial drivers, risks and overarching goals in order to provide tailored, commercially-sound advice.  Her clients include corporate insurers, brokers and third party claims administrators – through to uninsured small business owners.

Brooke regularly advises on matters concerning complex and novel insurance issues, including consideration of domestic, commercial and industrial policies in the context of coverage issues, dual insurance, non-disclosure and underinsurance.  She has managed multiparty claims, as well as claims involving significant liability, quantum and factual, and medical causation issues.

Brooke has significant experience in respect of mining and construction claims, having spent two years exclusively on the conduct of mining injury claims.  She has a similarly high level of expertise in managing dust disease-related matters (including asbestos and CWP), as well as the consideration of complex related issues of factual and medical causation.

Brooke has extensive experience in a wide range of workers compensation matters, having previously worked in-house with WorkCover Queensland.  She has a particular interest in advising on injury claims occurring in the mining or construction industries - including contractual indemnities, complex causation cases and multi-party claims.
