Peter provides general insurance advice, including advice on policy interpretation, indemnity issues, and the drafting of policy and other contractual documents.

The other major areas of his practice involve: acting for insured defendants, mainly involving property damage claims, claims against strata plans (office bearers claims, liability claims etc); acting for insureds in defending disputed claims, specialising in refused fraudulent claims; recovery matters and supervising junior solicitors involved in recovery claims.

Approach

Peter provides commercial advice on general insurance matters, including policy interpretation. He aims for commercially realistic results, either through settlement, mediation, competitive offers of compromise, and vigorously defending claims which have good prospects of a successful defence.
