About

Daniel is a Senior Associate in Holman Webb’s Corporate and Commercial team. He advises on a wide range of commercial matters, with a focus on those involving intellectual property and franchising.

Daniel has a particular interest in brand protection. He advises big and small clients on all aspects of their intellectual property rights, including copyright, trademarks and confidential information. As part of this work, Daniel advises on and manages trade mark portfolios that include registrations in Australia and internationally. He has also been published in intellectual property law journals on copyright and trade mark issues.

Together with his intellectual property experience, Daniel has experience drafting and advising on the full suite of documents involved in franchising; from commercial leases, disclosure documents and franchise agreements to distribution and business sale agreements. This experience also extends to advising on issues arising under the Franchising Code of Conduct, as well as competition and consumer law issues generally.

In addition to commercial advice work, Daniel has several years of commercial litigation experience and has appeared in Courts ranging from the New South Wales Local Court to the Federal Court of Australia. Through this experience Daniel is well placed to advise on the commercial risks that may confront his clients and help them navigate potential disputes before they end up in Court.
