Reform to provide a solid platform for arbitration as an alternative means of resolving disputes

  • Dispute Resolution within the court system can take long time, be expensive, is public and is liable to appeal.
  • Arbitration can bring significant savings of time and cost, the parties have more control, it is private and less subject to review.
  • Australian states are enacting commercial arbitration laws that adopt international best practice.
